            The decorated gas tanks can be found all over Japan, and the decoration is done by local gas companies, just to brighten things up, because there is nothing more boring than a gray gas tank, right? The tanks are enormous so you can spot them from far away, and I bet they look like colorful golf balls from above. One interesting thing is that the decorators have some sense for colorful and almost feminine design, which is by the way common in Japanese pop culture. Colors make them appear alive.
