108 team is a number that Asian people come across quite often, so often that 108 could be part of the daily speech. However 108, when mention in Chinese culture can mean one of the greatest Chinese novels in the history. If tells story of a group of Heroes, who stand for the people that were suffering as the corrupted government, prevail. The story took place in ancient China. The antagonist power were the Chinese government official. People who faced poverty were benefit from the 108 acts which later of Robin hood, the 108 of Liang Shan.

The spirit of 108 found its path to contemporary world as a group of graphic designers came together and realized the shared inner resistance to the Western Design culture. Resistance which led one to question one self and eventually question inner self and surrounding contexts that later grew into a group. With this common drive they attempt to counter balance influence the west and to re influence the south East Asian younger generation with Asian minds. 

This 108 Designer talk gather in Neighbor program initiated by Kentaro Hiroki (from SOAD, Thailand) and Malaysian Designer Joseph Foo (Founder of 3nity, Design Company) since 2007. Joseph Foo suggested to ask his designer friends (this group called 108(5 person, 1 person could not come this time) Each Designer has high qualification in Design in All over the world, but they never show or talk their work in Thailand), to share their thought in Asia and develop the new creative community in which sharing Neighbor sprits. 

First time in Thailand, an event of gathering South East Asian designers to talk about their works.

Joseph Foo / Malaysia

Founder of Trinity Visual Communications Joseph began his journey in the creative industry as a graphic designer. Having worked in the United States and Singapore, he returned to Malaysia and did a year’s stint with one of Malaysia’s leading design firms. He went on to establish trinity (3nity). 3nity the multi-disciplinary brand identity consultancy it is today.His work has been rewarded in both local and international competitions.

Eric Chen / Taiwan (Gamania)

Eric started the company Gamania net games, make up a number of famous brands in Taiwan HKDA Awards (Hong Kong), LIAA (UK), Golden Award from China Brand (China), Golden Award from Taiwan Design A ward Taiwan ( has gained a high reputation, etc.), both at home and abroad. , Eric has represented the perspective of his own for the interaction between pop culture and social phenomenon.  He is the founder of Gamania Brand Center
